Minstries at New Gilead
Children’s Ministry
Our Children have several opportunities for fellowship and bible study throughout the year including Sunday school, children’s church during Sunday worship, events (both at church and offsite), pizza parties, inflatables, and water play!
Young at Heart Friends
Meetings every 2nd Monday of the month, our young at heart friends are made up of both New Gilead members and other non-members alike. Each month they share a meal, have a program, celebrate birthdays and go on outings together.
Thursday Night Friends
The Thursday night friends are a group of folks who get together for dinner at various restaurants throughout town. They enjoy camaraderie, fellowship, and good food. A great way to get to know fellow church members!
Sunday School Classes
We offer adult, youth, and children Sunday school classes that all meet around 10am on Sunday mornings. Each class studies scripture, enjoys fellowship time, and thinks practically about how to apply what they are learning into their own lives.
Meals on Wheels
New Gilead participates in the Meals on Wheels program throughout Cabarrus County, delivering meals to those older adults who need fresh food delivered. For a weekly listing of who has the route each day, see our weekly bulletin.
BBQ Chicken Fundraiser
Our BBQ Chicken is the best around! Cooked by the men with great sides prepared by the women’s guild. The women’s guild takes the proceeds of the fundraiser and supports different ministries and organizations over the course of the year.
Benevolence and Outreach
Serving those inside the church as well as outside, the benevolence and outreach committee works to vet opportunities where New Gilead can help be the hand and feet of Christ in our community and the surrounding area.
The Women’s Guild
A vital part of the New Gilead ethos. The women do fundraisers, manage the kitchen, prepare funeral meals, donate to missions, offers fellowship opportunities, and more! We could do we do at New Gilead if it weren’t for these dedicated women.
Hotdog Fundraisers
These fundraisers put on by our children’s ministry volunteers go to support the events we do for our kids at New Gilead. You can purchase delicious grilled hotdogs, chips, drinks, and homemade desserts while enjoying a great time of fellowship.
